How we use your information
What Personal Information Is Collected
If a tenant or prospective tenant reaches out to us requesting information or a service, we will collect the information from that request in order to respond. For example, if a prospective tenant is asking information about an available rental, we will keep their name, phone number, email or other contact information in order to contact them to provide information on that rental, as requested. We do not maintain a database of prospects beyond that rental, unless the prospect requests to be placed on a waiting list for contact in the future.
We keep and store information securely for renters in order to evaluate their application approval/denial and communication during and after residency, as it relates to the rental of our property.
How Personal Information Is Used
For prospective tenants, we will use the contact information provided to respond to the request for information and to schedule showings of properties. If an application is submitted by the prospective tenant, we will use that information to remain in contact with them throughout the application process, as requested.
For tenants, we will keep and securely store their information as it relates to the rental of the property. For example, a tenant may contact our office through the portal, email, SMS or phone call in order to report a request for repair. We will use that information in order to provide a response to their request.
When We Share Personal Information
When a prospective resident contacts us to inquire on a rental, only employees of Ransa Companies, Inc., d.b.a. Ransa Properties, will have access to that information and will use this information to respond to requests.
When a tenant contacts us to request a repair, we may share the details of the request with an approved vendor (i.e., plumber, electrician, repair contractor) in order that the repair requested may be completed.
With a signed release provided, we may also provide rental history as requested by another property management company if the tenant is applying to live elsewhere in the future.
SMS Consent
- SMS Consent Communication: The information as phone numbers obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes
- Types of SMS Communications: If you have consented to receive text messages from Ransa Properties, you may receive messages related to the following:
- Appointment reminders
- Follow-up messages
- Rent reminders
- Notice to enter your apartment to complete a repair
Example: "Hello, this is Neila from Ransa Properties reminding you that a plumber will be in your apartment tomorrow to complete the repair you requested.. You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging from Ransa Properties at any time."
3. Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 3 SMS messages per week related to your appointment reminders, follow-up messages, rent reminders and notice to enter your apartment to complete a repair.

4. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging: Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list.
